Laboratory Tests

Before surgery is done, patients should have the following laboratory tests done:

  1. Complete Blood Count (CBC)
  2. Platelet Count
  3. Bleeding Time
  4. Clotting Time
  5. Blood urea nitrogen (BUN)
  6. Creatinine (Cr)
  7. Fasting Blood Sugar (FBS)

Please email the results to me.

If the patient is 40 years old and above, you should have an ECG (electrocardiogram) done to make sure that you have no heart problems. Please go to a cardiologist or internist and bring with you the results of the above-mentioned laboratory exams which will be needed for a thorough evaluation. Please request a written cardiovascular clearance from your internist or cardiologist, that you are physically fit to undergo the operation.
