Mesotherapy for Skin Rejuvenation

Mesotherapy was developed in France in 1952 by Dr. Michel Pistor. Although the therapy is relatively new in the United States and the Philippines, it is said that there are more than 15,000 mesotherapy practitioners in France. It has been popular with the European rich and famous for some time now.

Mesotherapy is a noninvasive procedure that involves injecting a variety of medications, vitamins, anti-oxidants, plant extracts, and other substances which are absorbed by the mesodermal, or middle, layer. This is the layer of fat and connective tissue under the skin. These formulas have been known to improve skin tone and decrease wrinkles in the face, around the eyes and mouth when given repeatedly over a period of time. It is also said to be helpful to deal with hair loss. In younger patients, mesotherapy is used to age-proof against wrinkles and sun damage.

Mesotherapy can also be combined with injectable fillers, Botox and peels for a non-surgical “face-lift.”
